The Hook Up

So I ended up here after a bad experience at a different place and wow was I surprised. The staff was amazing and helped me better than I have been helped in a restaurant in a long time. We got a lot of food when we went since we were hungry. Food wise, the smash burger was good, had a lot of onion powder or actual onion in the meat. Wasn't bad, just wasn't what I expected. The loaded fries and tots were amazing 10/10 totally recommend. The crab cake was something that I probably wouldn't get again, but I am not a huge seafood guy. The place itself isn't much of a sit down and eat place, as much as it is a bar. That being said if your doing Doordash or pickup, this place is worth going back to more than once. I know I will go back,

The Hook Up is the bar and food establishment based in the Tidelands Hotel. I had the privilege of talking to all the associates and owner. They have above and beyond hospitality and the food is the best of all the other boardwalk options. Worth the visit if just snacking or wanting a full meal. Thank you for thr hospitality as this is what the industry needs.

We wanted some place for a good meal on the boardwalk that wasn't frozen before and overpriced and this little place is actually quite a cute fun little bar. We didn't drink or swim but the Baja fish tacos and philly cheesesteak with onion rings were very good. The only negative comment we have is the tater tots were very over seasoned, they are salted far too much to be edible. Otherwise, it's very reasonably priced with friendly and attentive service.
